One wonders what YSL himself would have thought of the film, made only five years after his passing.
The words 'jumpsuit, bolero jacket and pantsuit, safari appearance' were never to describe fashion, and infrequently heard prior to the expert of the YSL moment. Influenced by global culture, Saint Laurent drew his inspiration from the artwork and artists, from operas, literary figures, private muses and "aesthetic ghosts;" he has woven time to the eternal.
