To the film's credit, it generally does not present Saint Laurent or Berge as st - they see them damaging or sometimes betraying each other while their relationship remains solid - but it stays on message all of the way through:Powerful, pragmatic Berge saves the day every time amazing but unstable Saint Laurent begins to self destruct. One wonders what YSL himself would have thought of the film, made only five years after his passing.

The words 'jumpsuit, bolero jacket and pantsuit, safari appearance' were never to describe fashion, and infrequently heard prior to the expert of the YSL moment. Influenced by global culture, Saint Laurent drew his inspiration from the artwork and artists, from operas, literary figures, private muses and "aesthetic ghosts;" he has woven time to the eternal. Design and beading dazzle, along with the sumptuous light brings it all to life in brilliant YSL shade. All guys have a dark side as well as a light side.
